We were thrilled to introduce The Future of Public to The Roosevelt Institute Summer Fellows of the RE:Public project as part of their Summer Webinar Series. Maya has been working with The Roosevelt Institute on bringing in the millennial perspective in regards to all things public & the rapid privatization movement. Because this webinar was focused on the theme of media training, Maya brought in several clips from the films that make up the stories of The Future of Public including Backpack Full of Cash and The Newark Project. She also introduced the fellows to a few films exploring the History of Public, which include Free for All: Inside the Public Library and Joe Papp In Five Acts. Maya shared the Ecosystem of Change, Beyond the Choir mapping and the Megaphone as an example of assessment resources for using media as a tool for change.
